love this: dear photograph

Sometimes the internet gets things right. I spent a good chunk of time today going through the archives of Dear Photograph, a heart-warming project that asks participants to bring an old photo back to the spot where it was originally taken, many years ago. Trees are cut down, buildings are remodeled, and people grow up, but the memories and emotion behind these photos remain.

I wish we could say goodbye to Grandad just one more time.

There has always been a little superhero hiding, somewhere, in all of us. It’s what you do with your powers that makes you fly.
